CIDCA chairman meets Angolan minister of state

Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Dionisio Manuel da Fonseca, Angola's minister of state and head of the Civil House of the President, in Beijing on June 2.

Chen said that China and Angola enjoy a longstanding traditional friendship. In March 2024, the two countries' heads of state announced the elevation of bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Angola relations have continued to deep, yielding fruitful results in various cooperation areas, he said.

Chen expressed the CIDCA's readiness to work with the Angolan side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen development cooperation and deliver greater benefits to the people of both countries.

For his part, Fonseca noted that Angola attaches great importance to developing relations with China. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for China's longstanding support and assistance in promoting Angola's social and economic development and improving its people's well-being.

Fonseca said Angola is willing to strengthen development exchanges and cooperation with China in the field of development and advance the continued development of bilateral relations.

The two sides also exchanged in-depth views on specific development cooperation projects.
