Announcement on launch of Chinese government's new foreign aid logo

China will launch a new foreign aid logo and emblem with the related authorities' permission to better demonstrate the country's foreign aid concept, publicize the effectiveness of its foreign aid work, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The logo pattern is composed of a red Chinese knot with four Chinese characters "中国援助" and the corresponding English words “CHINA AID” as well as the "FOR SHARED FUTURE" expression. The logo has horizontal and vertical layouts for different occasions.

The new foreign aid logo and emblem will be officially launched on Jan 1, 2020. Until that date the logo and emblem currently in use may continue to be used.

Administrative measures on the use of the foreign aid logo will be promulgated separately.

I. The logo pattern is composed of a red Chinese knot with four Chinese characters "中国援助" and the corresponding English words "CHINA AID" as well as the "FOR SHARED FUTURE" expression. The standard color of the Chinese knot and the Chinese and foreign characters is Chinese red, C 0, M 100, Y 100, K 0; PANTONE 485C. The graphic is a square structure with a horizontal to vertical ratio of 1:1.

II. The Chinese font in the foreign aid logo is bold and the English font is sanserif.

III. The commonly used foreign translations of “中国援助”(CHINA AID) and “为了共同的未来” (FOR SHARED FUTURE) are as follows：
