CIDCA| Updated: 2025-06-05

A tripartite training program on developing high-voltage renewable energy power grid in Mongolia was launched in North China's Tianjin municipality on June 4.

The program, which involves China, Germany and Mongolia, was designed by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of their three-year joint action plan on strengthening international development cooperation.

With funding coming mainly from Germany, the program was undertaken by Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences, with the aim of helping Mongolia enhance its renewable energy capacity and grid management. The program is part of practical measures taken by China, Germany and Mongolia to implement the Global Development Initiative and realize the goals related to green development and clean energy under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Guan Zhiyong and Director of the Sino-German Center for Sustainable Development at BMZ Sylvia Van Ziegert attended the launch ceremony along with representatives from relevant government departments.
