China International Development Cooperation Agency spokesperson Li Ming announced on Sept 24 that the Chinese government has decided to provide an additional 100 million yuan ($14.04 million) worth of emergency relief supplies to further assist Pakistan in disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction. The supplies mainly include life jackets, tents, blankets, sleeping bags and lifeboats.
Since June, Pakistan has been hit by severe flooding that has caused significant casualties and property losses. China promptly extended help by providing Pakistan with an emergency aid of $2 million.
