Chen emphasized that China and Tajikistan, as neighboring countries linked by mountains and rivers, have forged a deep, enduring traditional friendship between their people. He noted that over the past 34 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have remained supportive neighbors, trustworthy friends and development partners, despite any changes in the international landscape.
Chen stressed that during the state visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to China in May, the heads of state of the two countries reached consensus on building a China-Tajikistan comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation in the new era, which provides strategic guidance for the development of bilateral relations.
Chen stated that the CIDCA is ready to work with the Tajik side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and strengthen the alignment of development cooperation strategies, so as to deepen development cooperation. According to him, the CIDCA and Tajikistan can also promote both landmark projects and "small yet smart" livelihood projects, and collaborate with each other in multiple areas, such as infrastructure construction, connectivity, artificial intelligence, clean energy and personnel training, so as to better benefit the people of the two countries.
