
From Sept 14 to 16, Liu Junfeng, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, led a working group on a visit to Laos.
He paid a courtesy call on Santiphab Phomvihane, Laos' deputy prime minister, finance minister and chairman of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee. He also co-chaired the third meeting on the China-Laos development cooperation mechanism with Sengdeun Sayasone, executive vice-chairwoman of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged in-depth ideas on implementing the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, advancing Belt and Road cooperation, delivering on the four major global initiatives and deepening bilateral development cooperation.

During the visit, Liu and members of the working group also conducted field inspections of several China-aided projects in Laos.
