China-aided Project of China-Palestine Friendship and Development Building Launched

On September 6, 2026, H.E. Mr.Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, and Mrs.Rania Maraee, representative of the Palestinian Investment Fund (PIF), signed the China-aided Project of China-Palestine Friendship and Development Building in Palestine Implementation Agreement at the Presidential Palace, Ramallah. The Prime Minister of the State of Palestine H.E. Dr.Mohammad Mustafa, the Diplomatic Advisor to President H.E. Dr.Majdi Khaldi, and Chairman of Board of Directors of the PIF H.E. Mr.Iyad Joudeh witnessed the signing ceremony.

The Building is one of the outcomes of President H.E. Mahmoud Abbas's state visit to China in 2023 and will become the largest Chinese aid project for Palestine since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Located in Surda of Ramallah Governorate in West Bank, the project will hold a rehabilitation center and a complex for innovation and sustainable development. Upon completion, it will serve as another landmark symbolizing China-Palestine friendship.
