A handover ceremony for emergency humanitarian medical supplies provided by the Chinese government to Jordan in support of Gaza was held in Jordan on Oct 12.
Gong Anmin, charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, and Hatem Al-Abadi, assistant director general of the Royal Medical Services, attended the ceremony. Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Cheng Yongru was also present.

Gong emphasized at the ceremony that China remains deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. This assistance represents a further step in implementing the measures previously announced by China to support Palestine, and marks another instance of humanitarian cooperation between China and Jordan, following China's humanitarian food assistance to Gaza through Jordan, Gong said. China stands ready to work with Jordan to promote lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, Gong added.

Al-Abadi expressed gratitude to China for providing humanitarian medical assistance. He said that the medical supplies provided by China would help improve the treatment conditions and healthcare service capabilities of local medical institutions in Jordan, thereby alleviating the suffering of Palestinian people. He added that Jordan looks forward to further deepening cooperation with China in the field of humanitarian assistance.
