CIDCA vice-chairman meets with board chairman of KazAID via video link

On Aug 3, 2023, Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Arken Arystanov, chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), via video link.

Deng noted that the two heads of state have reached key consensus in building a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future featuring lasting friendship, mutual trust and shared weal and woe, which has facilitated rich results in bilateral cooperation in various fields, benefiting the people of both countries and promoting common development. 

China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to jointly implement the Global Development Initiative (GDI), promote the realization of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and elevate their bilateral cooperation to a higher level, he said. 

Arystanov affirmed Kazakhstan's firm support to the GDI and thanked China for its support and assistance. He said that Kazakhstan is ready to expand trilateral cooperation based on continued bilateral cooperation with China, so as to promote the prosperity and stability of neighboring regions. 

The two sides also held in-depth exchanges on specific matters related to development cooperation.
