
Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, met with Mihai Popsoi, Moldova's deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, on May 21.
Chen said that with an enduring friendship, China and Moldova could benefit from more stable and improved bilateral relations, which align with the expectations of their people.
Chen emphasized that the development cooperation conducted by the two countries has delivered tangible benefits to the people of both countries.
China is ready to work with Moldova to implement the Global Development Initiative, and continuously deepen practical cooperation in such areas as new energy, health care and human resources, in a bid to bring more benefits to the people of both countries, Chen said.
For his part, Popsoi noted that Moldova highly values its relations with China. He expressed sincere gratitude for China's long-term support for the economic development of Moldova and the improvement of its people's livelihoods.
He expressed his nation's readiness to learn from the governance experiences of China and to pave the way for further development cooperation between the two countries, so as to advance their bilateral relations.
After the meeting, the two sides signed development cooperation documents.
