Wang welcomed Ms Fore's visit to the CIDCA as its first foreign guest.

He said that the establishment of the CIDCA is a major initiative for China to maintain world peace and promote common development. In recent years, China has conducted tripartite cooperation with UNICEF under the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund to provide assistance in various fields to women and children in other developing countries.

The CIDCA is ready to strengthen communication and cooperation with UNICEF to jointly promote the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the implementation of the UN’s Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Wang added.

Fore said that the establishment of the CIDCA was a wise decision of the Chinese government and will make a new and significant contribution to global development.

She looked forward to cooperating with the CIDCA in the areas of emergency humanitarian assistance, child protection, adolescent development, post-disaster reconstruction and experience-sharing in poverty reduction.
