CIDCA vice chairman holds talks with Dominican vice minister

On May 30, Deng Boqing, vice chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Juan Ariel Jimenez, Vice Minister of Development Policy of the Ministry of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic.

Deng briefly introduced the basic situation of CIDCA and its practice of economic and technical cooperation with the countries of Latin America.

Deng said that the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Dominican Republic has created good political conditions for both sides to expand exchanges and deepen cooperation, and China is willing to strengthen multi-party cooperation in various fields to achieve common development.

Jiménez said that the Dominican government departments heads’ joint visit to China aims to strengthen long-term cooperation with China in various fields, and that his country urgently hopes to jointly implement some influential interconnection projects with China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, so that the Dominican government and its people will enjoy the fruits of the historic decision to establish diplomatic relations with China.   

Dominican vice ministers for economic affairs and international and international cooperation also attended the meeting.
