Kikwete first congratulated Zhou on the establishment of the CIDCA, and then introduced AGRA’s story, goal and approach, as well as its current work in Africa.

He hoped that China will become a partner of AGRA to help Africa in poverty reduction and its fight against hunger and in realizing the transformation of its agricultural development.

Zhou said that the establishment of the CIDCA is a major initiative of the Chinese government to maintain world peace and promote common development and has great and far-reaching significance to promote the construction of a China-Africa community of common destiny and active participation of African countries in Belt and Road initiative cooperation.
