Zhou Liujun, vice chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met and exchanged views with Issa Doubragne, Chad's minister of economic planning and development on Oct 18 in Beijing.

Zhou said President Xi Jinping met his Chadian counterpart at the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in Beijing last month and the two leaders reached consensuses on wide areas.

China-Chad cooperation will continuously increase as the two leaders expect and maintain a sound momentum, Zhou added. China is willing to work together with Chad to implement the agreements and consensuses made at the summit, boosting the two sides’ development and cooperation and prospects for a bright future.

Doubragne said China and Chad are old friends, and Chad greatly appreciates the support from China.

Chad hopes to learn from China’s development experience to improve its social situation as well as its national competitiveness and attractiveness, added Doubragne. Chad is looking forward to more exchanges with China and more cooperation on infrastructure construction, after which consensuses reached by the two leaders should be more easily implemented.
