CIDCA chairman meets with EU commissioner for intl cooperation and development

Wang Xiaotao, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with EU Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica on Nov 14.

The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in international development.

Mimica said that the EU appreciates China's important role in the field of international development cooperation. The cooperation between China and the EU is highly complementary, which can enhance the influence of foreign aid and help other developing countries implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The EU is willing to strengthen exchanges with China, conduct development cooperation dialogues, and carry out specific cooperation pilot projects.

Wang introduced the general information of the CIDCA, and said that China is willing to strengthen communication and enhance mutual understanding with the EU. The two sides could explore tripartite cooperation on the premise of fully respecting the will of recipient countries.
