State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi visits CIDCA

State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) on Jan 21.

Wang said that the CIDCA has worked hard to overcome difficulties and successfully achieved the goals of institutional reform and foreign aid work.

Wang reviewed the evolution of the international situation in 2018 and emphasized the importance of foreign aid work in promoting diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.

He said that 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and it is also a year in which foreign aid work is to be accelerated to a higher level. CIDCA should keep up its good work and make greater contributions to foreign aid work in the new era.
