CIDCA vice-chairman meets with World Bank vice-president

Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Akihiko Nishio, vice-president of development finance at the World Bank, in Beijing on Feb 20.

Nishio said that China is one of the important funders of the World Bank. Both sides should have better understanding of each other's development assistance policies and key areas, and share international development knowledge and experience to further deepen cooperation.

Zhang introduced China's foreign aid policy and the functions of the CIDCA. Zhang said that China and the World Bank have a good foundation for cooperation in the field of international development cooperation. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the World Bank and make contributions to the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
