China provides emergency humanitarian assistance to Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi

Tian Lin, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), announced on Mar 21 that Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi have been hit by the strong tropical cyclone "Idai", causing heavy casualties and huge property losses.

The Chinese government expressed deep sympathy for the natural disaster in the three countries, and expressed condolences to the people affected. The Chinese government has decided to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to the governments of the affected countries, carry out disaster relief work, and offer assistance to the post-disaster reconstruction work according to the needs of the affected countries.
