The completion and handover ceremony of the Mongolian Disabled Children Development Center, built with aid from China, was held at the project site in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, on Jan 24.

Xing Haiming, Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, attended the ceremony. More than 300 people participated in the event, including Chairman of the Mongolian Democratic Party Erdene Sodnomzundui other Mongolian political figures, guests from all walks of life, representatives of the project's Chinese contractors and managers and Chinese-funded enterprises, and media reporters.

The Mongolian Disabled Children Development Center is located in Bayan Gol district, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Its construction began on July 14, 2016, with a joint announcement by the prime ministers of China and Mongolia.

With a total construction area of about 15,000 square meters and 250 beds it makes up for the lack of rehabilitation facilities for children with disabilities in Mongolia.

It is the largest and most advanced of its kind in the country, and is of great significance to Mongolia’s social development.
