Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Nepalese Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli in Kathmandu on Mar 21. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi attended the meeting.
Oli said that Nepal and China are all-time trustworthy friends and thanked China for its long-term support and assistance in various fields. The Nepalese government is committed to promoting the development of the country into a new stage. Nepal hopes that China will continue to provide support to the Nepal and promote in-depth development of friendly relations between the two countries.
Deng said that China and Nepal have long been good friends. China is glad to see that Nepal starts a new stage of economic construction under the leadership of its new government. China is willing to work with Nepal to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen development cooperation and improve the people's livelihoods, and build the Belt and Road together. The two sides will strengthen communication and deepen cooperation in the future.
