CIDCA chairman meets with executive director of UN International Trade Center

Wang Xiaotao, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Arancha González, executive director of the United Nations International Trade Center (ITC), who was in Beijing to attend the second Belt and Road forum for International Cooperation, on Apr 26. They exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two sides.

González said that the ITC has extensive experience in technical assistance in the field of trade and looks forward to cooperating with the CIDCA under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative to support developing countries in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals through trade.

Wang said that the smooth flow of trade is an important area of the Belt and Road Initiative. The CIDCA is willing to strengthen cooperation with the ITC to help developing countries enhance their trade capabilities and jointly promote the Belt and Road Initiative and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
