CIDCA vice-chairman meets with EBRD secretary general

Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Enzo Quattrociocche, secretary general of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), who was in Beijing to attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, on April 25.

Quattrociocche said that the EBRD has carried out loan and equity investment operations in various countries in Europe and Asia to promote regional sustainable development. The EBRD attaches great importance to establishing contact with the CIDCA and is willing to increase mutual understanding and explore potential areas of cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

 Deng said that China appreciates the EBRD's active support for the construction of the Belt and Road. The two sides have many points of convergence in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and helping the countries concerned to achieve sustainable development, which could enhance exchanges, experience sharing and cooperation between the countries.
