Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), led a delegation to Serbia from June 15 to 18.
Deng met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. Vučić welcomed the CIDCA delegation’s first visit to Serbia. He thanked China for its sincere help and strong support for Serbia. He said he hopes the two sides can strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Deng said that China is willing to work with the Serbian side to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and deepen their development cooperation.
During the visit, Deng held talks with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojša Stefanović, and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Deng communicated with officials from Serbian government departments of European integration and Customs and signed agreements for cooperation projects.
The delegation visited major strategic projects including steel plants and railways and Huawei’s facilities in Serbia, and held a discussion with representatives of some Chinese-funded enterprises in the country.
Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo attended the above activities.
