China, UNIDO sign agreement on Ethiopian livestock project

Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), signed an agreement with Li Yong, director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), on May 31 to implement a project for upgrading the Ethiopian livestock value chain through capacity building.

This is a cooperation project between the two sides under the framework of the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund. It aims to help Ethiopia improve its level of animal husbandry development, promote its economic and social development, and jointly promote the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
