The Chinese Embassy in the Central African Republic hosted an opening ceremony on August 23 for an overseas training course on Juncao technology provided by China.
Chen Dong, Chinese Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Honore Fezoure, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Central African Republic, a group of experts of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University of China, and other representatives from the Central African Republic attended the opening ceremony. Students who took part in a previous Juncao technology training course in China and students for this new course also attended the event.
All attendees watched a video about the previous training in China. The short film shows 25 students attending a training course held at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University from June to July this year. Six outstanding students of them spoke at the ceremony and thanked the Chinese government for providing training opportunities for Central African Republic students to create new solutions for the Central African people to solve local food security problems and overcome poverty.
Lin Hui, a teacher at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, summed up the learning situation of the students during their stay in China, and announced that the 2019 Chinese Juncao technology overseas training course was officially started.
He encouraged the new students to cherish the training opportunity and work hard. Three new student representatives said that they will live up to expectations and study hard to contribute to the promotion of Juncao technology in the Central African Republic.
Several Central African Republic officials delivered speeches thanking the Chinese government and the embassy for bringing technology, confidence and hope to their country. They said they hope that the technology will be promoted as soon as possible so it can bring change to the country in a timely way.
Fezoure reviewed in detail the rapid promotion and development of Juncao technology in the Central African Republic since his visit to the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University Juncao Center in June 2018. He thanked the Chinese government and the embassy for their support and encouragement. The Central African Republic students have studied hard and worked hard to make positive contributions to the promotion of Juncao technology in his country.
Chen said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. On the road of development, China will never forget its African brothers, and will advance Africa's development and promote the building of a community of shared destiny between China and Africa.
The low investment and quick effect of Juncao technology will effectively alleviate the food security problems in the Central African Republic, promote poverty alleviation, and increase employment. The Chinese embassy will continue to work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Central African Republic to establish a guiding group for the promotion of Juncao technology based on the training. The establishment of a Juncao packaging production line at the Agricultural Research Institute of the Central African Republic will promote the Juncao technology and benefit the people of the country.
Chen and Fezoure answered questions from reporters at the event, which was covered by a number of major media outlets of the Central African Republic.
