Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), signed an agreement with representatives of the World Health Organization to help the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Burundi, South Sudan, Rwanda and Uganda cope with the Ebola outbreak.
This is further cooperation under the framework of the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund after the two sides worked together on the 2018 Ebola outbreak. The aim is to help the above-mentioned countries effectively prevent and control the disease in the long term.
