Wang Xiaotao, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Qu Dongyu, director-general of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Nov 21, 2019. They exchanged views on enhancing mutual cooperation.

China has made tremendous achievements in the fields of agriculture and poverty reduction, and the FAO attaches great importance to relations with China and hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China, share China's successful experience with other developing countries, and jointly help them to improve agricultural planning and advance the level of agricultural development, said Qu.
Wang said that the FAO plays an important role in the world's agricultural development, and the Chinese side appreciates and supports its work and that of the director-general himself. The CIDCA is willing to actively deepen pragmatic cooperation with the FAO and continuously expand cooperation areas and methods to help other developing countries achieve sustainable agricultural growth.
