Groundbreaking ceremony of China-aided Central African cultural center held in Kinshsa

In their speeches, the mayor of Kinshasa and other DRC officials thanked the Chinese government for its selfless assistance to the DRC, and stated that China is a close friend and partner of the DRC and that the DRC people will remember China's contribution to its economic and social development. The project will help the DRC to enhance its soft power, restore its influence in African culture, and become a platform to showcase the rich cultural and artistic treasure of the DRC and Africa as a whole. 

Representatives of the Chinese design and construction teams outlined the specific situation of the project.
