The seminar was hosted by the Chinese Embassy to Rwanda. About 200 Rwandans trainees who have received the training programs in recent years were present. Six representatives shared their training experience and perspectives.
According to Niyonkuru, Rwanda has established and is dedicated to its national development goals, which human resources training provided by China will help it realize by cultivating talents.

Commissioner Constantin Rukundo of the National Executive Committee of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), the ruling party of Rwanda, said that the Rwandan-China cooperation has set out to "teach people how to fish", and the RPF highly appreciates the bilateral cooperation.
The Chinese human resources training programs help Rwandan people acquire many useful skills, he said, adding that the RPF draws inspiration from the Communist Party of China, which drives domestic progress.

Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Rao Hongwei addressed the event. China and Rwanda have been working on enhancing cooperation on human resources training, he said. In 2019, China has provided training for about 400 locals, setting another record in this regard. China's training programs, covering such topics as state governance, political party building, agriculture, e-commerce and poverty reduction, have addressed the country's actual needs.
