CIDCA vice-chairman visits Sri Lanka

Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), led a delegation to Sri Lanka from Jan 11 to 14.

During his visit, Zhang held talks with Pavithra Wanniarachchi, minister of health, mutrition and indigenous medicine of Sri Lanka. They exchanged views on current cooperation in the medical and health field and the implementation of related projects. 

Zhang also went to the National Nephrology Hospital in Polonnaruwa, built with a donation of the Chinese government, and its national hospital outpatient service building to carry out on-site inspection assessments.

He communicated with the Chinese ambassador to Sri Lanka and listened to relevant enterprises' opinions and suggestions on strengthening the supervision of foreign aid projects and improving the overall effects of the aid.
