Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) visited the Republic of Maldives from Jan 15 to 16, 2020.
Zhang held talks with Ahmed Khaleel, minister of state for foreign affairs of Maldives, to exchange views on further strengthening bilateral assistance cooperation.
In his visit, Zhang inspected and evaluated several China-aided projects, including the maintenance of the office building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives and the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge.
He also exchanged views with the Chinese ambassador to Maldives on strengthening the coordination and supervision of foreign aid projects, promoting connectivity between aid demands and enhancing the comprehensive effects of the aid.
