China to help African countries fight locust plague

East African countries are currently suffering from locust attacks, posing a sever threat to local agricultural production and food security. The Chinese government has expressed its great concern.

The China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) has worked with the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs of China to send an expert team to those countries to provide them with technical guidance, and will continue to offer technical assistance as well as needed supplies.
