Italy Foreign Minister thanks China for its support

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government for sending a team of professional medical experts to Italy, and stressed that the medical team sent by China are the first people to deal with the COVID-19 and are rich in experience when he interviewed by Italian national television.

Di Maio also thanked the Chinese government for supporting Italy in fighting the epidemic, and praised China's related experience. He said that China’s condolences and support fully demonstrate the traditional friendship between the two peoples. 

The current epidemic situation in Italy is very serious, and the Italian government is paying close attention to and learning from China's successful experience in fighting the epidemic, and taking effective measures to prevent its spread, he said.
