Medical supplies aided by China arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on March 26 to assist Bangladesh’s combat against COVID-19.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming handed over the medical supplies to representatives of the Bangladeshi Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the airport.
Li said that China provided testing kits, medical masks and protective gowns to Bangladesh in a timely manner to ease the pressure of Bangladesh’s shortage of medical supplies, and will stand with Bangladesh through thick and thin.
Bangladeshi Director General, Directorate General of Health Services Abul Kalam Azad said that as Bangladesh rolls out preparation of anti-pandemic supplies the medical supplies donated by China, especially the testing kits, help ease the great pressure on medical resources.
