The handover ceremony of anti-pandemic supplies donated by Chinese government was held in Abidjan on April 17. Chinese Ambassador to Côte d’ Ivoire Wan Li and the Minister of Health and Public Health of Côte d’ Ivoire Aweile Euren Aca were present.
Wan said that China and Côte d’ Ivoire are good friends, partners and brothers and their cooperation in anti-pandemic work epitomizes China-Africa cooperation. The traditional friendship between China and Africa is unbreakable and has gone through the test of time and history; it will never be affected by isolated incidents. China will continue to provide African brothers with more assistance as its ability allows to help them fight the virus.
Aca thanked the Chinese government and the Chinese people for reaching out at this critical moment in the fight against the virus and appreciated the support made by Chinese nationals in Côte d’ Ivoire. Côte d’ Ivoire will eventually win the battle against the virus with strong help from China and the international community.
