China transfers more medical supplies to BiH

On April 26, Chinese Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ji Ping went to Banja Luka, capital of Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and handed over Chinese medical supplies to help the country fight against COVID-19.

The medical supplies included nucleic acid testing kits, protective clothing and N95 masks. Recently, the Chinese Embassy in BiH has donated medical supplies to the ministries of foreign affairs and defense of BiH.

Ji said that at the critical moment in China’s fight against the virus the leaders and non-governmental organizations of BiH offered precious support and assistance to China.

China feels for BiH in its pandemic challenges and has provided medical supplies to the country, said Ji, adding that this batch of medical supplies shipped by a Chinese government charted plane may be small in volume due to limited transportation but demonstrates Chinese people’s sincere friendship towards the people of BiH.

Ji said that China stands with BiH in the battle against the pandemic and is planning to set up a platform for medical experts of the two countries to exchange their anti-pandemic experience. He added that he is delighted to see the pandemic situation in BiH became stable and confirmed his belief that BiH will defeat the virus at an early date.

Seranic said that since the virus outbreak in BiH, China has provided with assistance and is currently once again lending a helping hand to help them fight COVID-19. It demonstrates the two countries’ friendship sharing weal and woe. BiH is deeply grateful for the assistance, and hopes to continue to cooperate with China to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.
