Premier Li Keqiang congratulated Lee Hsien Loong on his re-election as prime minister of Singapore in a telephone conversation on July 27.

Premier Li said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the economy of Singapore has maintained good growth momentum for a long time, and the Singaporean government has taken decisive measures amid the COVID-19 outbreak, achieving positive results in the fight against the epidemic and helping the economy and society to recover.

China and Singapore are friendly neighbors, and China attaches great importance to China-Singapore relations, the Premier said.

He also said he would like to join hands with Lee to coordinate and advance cooperation in the fight against the epidemic and development while continuing to build the Belt and Rood Initiative, in order to push China-Singapore relations to a new level amid the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations this year.
