CIDCA vice-chairman holds videoconference with Nepal’s finance secretary

Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), held a videoconference with Nepal’s Finance Secretary Sishir Kumar Dhungana on Aug 27.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi also attended the meeting.

Deng said that Nepal is a good neighbor and traditional friend of China and the two sides have achieved remarkable results in development cooperation. 

Especially in the past year, the two sides have actively implemented the consensus reached by the two heads of state during the Chinese leader’s visit to Nepal, and helped and supported each other in the joint fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic, fully demonstrating the profound friendship between the two countries.

China is willing to continuously deepen the cooperation and make positive contributions to the development of the two countries’ friendly relations, added Deng.

Dhungana thanked China for its selfless assistance and support to Nepal’s economic and social development, post-earthquake reconstruction and the virus containment. Nepal stands ready to advance close cooperation and enhance coordination with China to realize common development.

The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation projects.
