Zhou welcomed Sivas' visit and congratulated him on his appointment as the FSM ambassador to China. China and the FSM have actively implemented the important consensuses reached by the two countries' leaders during FSM President David W. Panuelo's visit to China, and promoted positive progress in bilateral development cooperation projects.
Especially since the outbreak of COVID-19, China and the FSM have stood together and supported each other in overcoming the difficulties. China stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the FSM and contribute to the healthy and sound development of bilateral relations, added Zhou.
Sivas thanked the Chinese government and Chinese people for their selfless assistance and support to the FSM’s anti-pandemic fight. The FSM highly values the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two sides, and is willing to continue to strengthen communication and close cooperation with China to achieve common development.
The two sides also exchanged views on specific cooperation projects.
