Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the CIDCA, met with Caroline Wilson CMG, British ambassador to China, on Nov 23. They exchanged views on strengthening bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Zhang said that China is currently making all out efforts to implement the important measures it has announced on supporting international anti-pandemic cooperation. China stands ready to strengthen experience exchanges and mutual learning with Britain to jointly help other developing countries cope with the challenges posed by the pandemic and advance the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Wilson said that Britain and China are important participants in international development cooperation. Britain is willing to strengthen exchanges with China, explore pragmatic cooperation in areas such as climate change and biodiversity, and jointly help other developing countries and vulnerable groups cope with challenges in survival and development.
