Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), signed a cooperation agreement with a representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Nov 19. The CIDCA and the UNHCR agreed to cooperate on the project in response to COVID-19 by using the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund.
The project aims to help vulnerable groups such as refugees and shelter community residents in Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan cope with COVID-19 and alleviate the humanitarian crisis caused by the pandemic.
