Zhang Maoyu, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), held a videoconference with Liu Fang, secretary general of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), on Nov 27. They exchanged views on strengthening bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
Zhang said that China and the ICAO have enjoyed good cooperation under the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund and achieved positive results. China is making all out efforts to implement the important measures it declared on supporting international anti-pandemic cooperation. China will strengthen cooperation with international organizations including the ICAO, jointly help other developing countries cope with the challenges of aviation industry recovery and development during and after the pandemic, and promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Liu expressed her gratitude to the CIDCA for its long-term support for the ICAO. The ICAO is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with China, deepen bilateral project cooperation against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, work together to help other developing countries cope with the difficulties and challenges they face in international air transport, and contribute to the recovery and development of the global economy and society.
