A handover ceremony of Chinese food assistance to Lesotho was held in the African country recently. The project, carried out by the Chinese government under the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund, aims to help Lesotho cope with food shortages caused by persistent drought and improve the nutritional and health status of children, pregnant and lactating women in the country.
