CIDCA chairman meets with South Korean ambassador to China

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Jang Ha-sung, ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to China, to exchange views on strengthening bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, China and the ROK have helped each other to overcome difficulties and set a good example of international anti-pandemic cooperation, said Luo, adding that at present, China is making every effort to implement major measures to support international anti-pandemic cooperation and earnestly fulfill its solemn commitment to make COVID-19 vaccine a global public good.

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and ROK Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong recently held fruitful talks and reached an important consensus on deepening practical cooperation and building high-quality cooperative partnership, said Luo.

The CIDCA is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the ROK in the field of international development and make new contributions to the building of a global community of health for all and a community with a shared future for mankind, he said.

Jang congratulated Luo on his appointment as the chairman of the CIDCA and highly appreciated China's important contributions to international development and anti-pandemic cooperation.

He said the ROK is willing to further strengthen communications and exchanges on cooperation with the CIDCA, work together to cope with the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic and promote the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
