Zhou Liujun, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), held a special survey on the supervision work over the headquarters project of the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) via video link on June 10.
Zhou, together with officials from China's Ministry of Commerce, National Health Commission, and Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, had in-depth exchanges on information about the project's construction, operation and management with Ambassador Liu Yuxi, head of the Mission of China to the African Union, and senior executives of the institute in charge of the management of the Africa CDC headquarters project and the general contracting company.
The parties involved said they will strengthen their mission and sense of responsibility, improve the working and supervision mechanisms for the project's implementation and pandemic prevention and control.
They also said they will ensure the quality and safety of the project's construction and prevent and resolve various risks. They will also coordinate the follow-up operation cooperation of the project to help create a healthy, green and high-quality project for the people, so as to help build a China-Africa community of health and a China-Africa community with a shared future.
