In January 2021, the construction of the Mmopane Primary School, located in Gaborone city, capital of Botswana, was completed.
In this new semester, pupils moved to the new school with brand-new tables and chairs. "With the assistance of Chinese friends, the facilities of the new school have been greatly improved, making our campus so beautiful that kids are all eager to study here," said Maratha, schoolmaster of the primary school.
The Mmopane Primary School was built with Chinese assistance. The construction started in June 2018. With the joint efforts of China and Botswana, the project was completed at the end of 2020 and put into operation in January 2021. The new campus includes an administrative building, a laboratory, a library, a canteen and supporting facilities, providing study resources for more than 800 students.
