On December 14, 2021, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to U.S. President Joe Biden over the heavy casualties and property losses caused by multiple tornadoes that ripped through six central U.S. states of Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Missouri.
