Mainassara said that on behalf of Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum, he highly appreciated the cooperation between Niger and China. China has been providing selfless assistance to Niger and made positive contributions to the economic and social development of Niger.

In the field of medicine and health care, China has helped build the Niamey General Referral Hospital, sent medical teams to Niger for many years, and provided a large amount of free medical supplies.

Nigerien government and people are grateful for China's generous donation of a new shipment of vaccines, which will help more people get vaccinated and enable the Nigerien government to achieve its vaccination goal as soon as possible. Niger is willing to continue to increase cooperation with China in health and boost the continuous development of friendly relations between the two countries, Mainassara said.

As a reliable partner for other developing countries, China is committed to contributing to the accessibility and affordability of vaccines in developing countries.

For this reason, China has decided to provide Niger with the newest shipment of COVID-19 vaccines to help it fight the epidemic.
