CIDCA vice-chairman holds video conference with vice-president of Laos-China Cooperation Committee

Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, held a video conference on Dec 15 with Saysana Sitthiphone, vice-president of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee, to exchange views on the two countries' development cooperation.

Deng said this year is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos and the year of friendship between the two countries.

With the active role of the Laos-China Cooperation Committee, the two sides have been improving their development cooperation mechanism, conducting effective anti-pandemic cooperation and yielding fruitful results in practical cooperation in various fields. Their synergistic supervision has been solid and effective.

China is willing to continue to work with Laos to jointly implement the important results of the recent video meeting between the two countries' leaders, deepen development cooperation between the two sides and better benefit the people of both countries.

Sitthiphone thanked China for its long-standing and valuable support for Laos' economic and social development, especially for its provision of anti-pandemic materials and vaccine assistance, which played an important role in helping Laos fight COVID-19 and reflected the deep friendship of the two peoples who share the common destiny.

He added that Laos will actively cooperate with China, continue to promote mutual cooperation and contribute to the continuous development of relations between the two countries.
