CIDCA chairman meets with director of ICRC Regional Delegation for East Asia

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Pierre Kraehenbuehl, director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation for East Asia, on Dec 24.

Luo said the CIDCA is willing to strengthen policy exchanges with the ICRC and carry out more projects and cooperation in countries and areas of mutual concern so as to provide them with food, medicine and other humanitarian assistance.

Kraehenbuehl said the ICRC appreciates China's concept of "putting people first", adding that the ICRC is willing to strengthen mutual exchanges and project cooperation with the CIDCA on the basis of the ICRC's advantages to help countries and regions such as Afghanistan and Ethiopia cope with humanitarian crises.

The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual concern.
